Al norte de Manhattan, El Bronx presume de un pintoresco paisaje además de su oferta cultural. El parque Pelham Bay se ancla al noreste del distrito y en más de 2.700 hectáreas, es el parque público más grande de la ciudad. Abarca Orchard Beach, un hermoso tramo frente al Estrecho de Long Island que es uno de los favoritos en el clima más cálido. Desde otra perspectiva frente al mar, contemplando City Island, se sitúa un histórico puerto que se siente más como un pueblo de pescadores que como parte de la ciudad más grande de Estados Unidos.
Los visitantes en busca de comida deben probar Arthur Avenue, conocido por su auténtica comida italiana. Otros lugares de interés incluyen el Zoo del Bronx –alberga más de 4.000 animales- el Jardín Botánico de Nueva York y Wave Hill, el famoso jardín público y un centro cultural con vistas al Río Hudson y Palisades. El distrito también es la casa de los Yankees de Nueva York, 27 veces campeón del mundo, ahora en su nuevo estadio.
